About My Cameras

I currently use a Nikon D7000 digital SLR for my primary camera. About 80% of the time, I use the Nikkor 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR II zoom lens, and the rest of the time I used the Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX zoom lens for super-wide shots. I have two other lenses: a Nikkor 70-210 mm f/2.8 FX zoom, and a 50 mm f/1.4 FX fixed lens, but I haven’t used them too much. I have a single Nikon SB-800 flash.

The D7000 is my third D-SLR that followed the D80 and D90 which now sit in my closet. I wish to obtain some lighting equipment so I can start getting into portrait and indoor photography.

I also keep a Canon S100 as a pocket camera. It’s not as good as an SLR, but it has enough advanced controls to keep me happy when I go to places where I cannot take the big camera.

I also need to mention the first camera that got me into photography…it’s the Nikon FE2 35-mm film SLR that I obtained in 1984, when it was a new model at the time. I have three lenses for it: Vivitar 28-90mm f/2.8 zoom, Nikon 50mm f/1.8, and a 80-200mm zoom. I still have all of that equipment!
